ET120301 Mitigation Reserve: Depots in Flood Zones, Phase 1 2010-2014 This project was a budgetary reserve; it funds projects to develop and implement flood mitigation measures to protect bus depots located in flood zone areas. Measures will include installation of protective doors and additional capacity power generators. Where applicable more robust measures will be considered, such as relocation of equipment to higher areas, replacement of below-ground storage tanks, backflow preventers, auxiliary pumping equipment, and installation of sea walls. As these mitigation projects are created, funds from this reserve are transferred accordingly. This project is a budget reserve for various mitigation efforts. As the budget is gradually transferred to individual projects for design and construction, the available balance in this project will be reduced. This project was reprogrammed per the MTA Board approved July 2017 Plan Amendment, to distribute funding to individual projects, that align with agency-wide priorities and anticipated funding.

Yukon Depot was initially included in this project; design was completed, but construction was split out and addressed as part of the MTA's small business federal mentoring program (SBFP). Scope was revised from 6 to 4 depots. Schedule adjusted to reflect current work plan. Initial budget was for pre-engineering services. Additional funding was provided for design and construction; budget reflects updated project estimate. Completion delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related workforce issues. Additional delay due to site access limitations at Michael J. Quill depot which require modifications to the design parameters.
